Seashells

BY SPECIAL REQUEST FROM AURORA & HOPE

I love collecting shells. The sand is quite coarse, and there are huge flat coral rocks along much of the shoreline.

This shows the size of some of the shells as compared with the computer mouse.

The shells are shown below smallest to largest.

The swirly shells on the right are called doors. See how tiny the one is. I love to find these.
I need to learn more about them, someone told us that the crabs make them... ?

These shells are HUGE! Many people use them as decoration in their yards.
These are in our friends, Brother and Sister Eloa's yard.

Can you find the shells that a crab is living in? When you get close to them they stop moving and hold very still until they think it is safe to move again. It's fun to watch them.

The next few pictures are of pieces of coral that I have found.

These are small pieces of coral on the right. The largest one is not quite 1.5 inches long. I love finding heart shaped rocks and coral.
