Agricultural Fair - Preparations

Royal Agriculture, Fisheries, Tourism and Trade Show 2018

Early Friday - Preparation

On Friday afternoon we checked out the Agricultural Fair. Here are a few pictures of what we saw as they we setting up. We were amazed at all the work they were doing.

As we were driving in we saw this truck with huge leaves in it.  They are really the top of a vegetable.

Check out the machete!

These are two teenage boys, the machete is very small compared to the ones we see men carrying along the road. Their's are almost twice as long and wider. They use them on their farms and in the bush. We have even seen men with a machete in each hand. The Mission Nurse tells the missionaries that if they were not born with a machete in their hands they are not to touch them. There are way to many pa'langi (white) missionaries getting cut.
